Sex Research in Canada
Kimberly Payne, PhD has just completed a study which concluded that sensitivity of circumcised men is equal to that of uncircumcised. Forty men (20 of each group) were shown porn flicks and their arousal levels were measured by thermal imaging. Stimuli were then applied to different parts of the penis to assess sensitivity levels:
Kimberly: "How does that feel?"
Subject: "Kimberly that's wonderful! There, there, like that! Ohhhh, don't stop!"
As a Canadian I am proud of this research and it gives me a warm feeling somewhere I won't mention. Maybe I can get in touch with Kimberly in case she wants subjects for a followup study. CBC has an article on the subject at http://www.cbc.ca/health/story/2007/07/27/circumcision-sensation.html
Seriously speaking, I AM proud that we have people who have explored this subject. Studies in Africa have shown that circumcised men are less likely, other things being equal, to contract aids; circumcision is thought to be one way of reducing transmission and saving lives.
